Just buy a can of white paint and Bob's yer uncle! Be sure to buy special 'audiophile' grade paint, tough, otherwise you risk killing the tunes.

Yeah I quite like it too. Base certainly looks better than that awful faux marble greeny crap

But it looks like it was carved from a giant extra strong mint!!

I have great respect for Mr Fletcher's engineering skills, but I sometimes seriously doubt his taste - I've always had my doubts about the faux marble, but this takes the biscuit.

I like extra strong mints!
It is a home job though isn't it? Paint finish doesn't look great in the pic and theres no NAS badge on the front

I'm not entirely sure but I think its the genuine article. After all what kinda numbnuts would take a can of spray paint to a couple of grands worth of record deck.

He he he - it looks like a lovechild cross between a 1950s escalator balustrade and a Voyd Valdi :) I think it looks wicked - if nothing else, it'll hide the dust ;)

Urgh, it looks pretty foul to me too, up there with the wooden-box jobbie I saw reviewed in one of the mags recently as I flicked the pages in WHSmiths. What is Tom thinking at times?

    White Hyperspace

    I like it!
I was quite keen to buy it, and spoke to Tom Fletcher about it.
Ir's a genuine NAS product, they only made a handfull (about 4) in white, around 10 years ago.
What put me off was that Tom's view was that a current Spacedeck would outperform it.

He may be right of course, but cynical old me wonders if..."a new spacedeck outperforms a used hyperspace because a new spacedeck will make tom fletcher money and a used hyperspace will not"

One things for sure, I wouldnt trust mr Fletcher, or any salesman in any shop to give me unbiased advice on whether I should buy used from ebay or new !.

Actually, I think you are being over cynical, as I did not say new, I said current spec. I told Tom I was considering the white Hyperspace or a two year old Spacedeck.
As it happens I missed the Spacedeck on eBay, and following a dem at Walrus I'll be ordering a new one.
