    Mostly All Pros for me

Until Needledrops came along we had to rely on Word of Mouth, & Hifi Mag reviews & ratings. Opinions then were often ( well bloody frequently) more coloured than the systems themselves.

Now we have the opportunity of bookmarking something that suits our individual ears & pockets, or even just getting a general feel about a particular system’s character.

It can cut both ways –I’ve been happily surprised by basic systems & disappointed in more expensive set ups, so I’ve been turned on as well as off.

Yes its not without pitfalls but its fun if you want it to be. As a learning process its invaluable – call it Distance Learning.

Davey W’s cartridge sound files are a stand out example of the process at work. Much more valuable to me than any HI FI Magazine Cartridge review.

Just enter into the spirit of what its all about.

Listen to my 'Rite of Spring' needledrop. If you can't hear how good it is your system is not good enough.

Excellent music played on an excellent front end - this was quite apparent not only listening through the system but on some decent headphones plugged into the computer.

Just got my re-issued Porcupine Tree 'In Absentia' on tonefloat 180gm vinyl.

Here is the first 2 mins of 'Strip the Soul', oh my god its bloomin ace!

Awesome music, awesome playing (Gavin Harrison the worlds best living drummer, discuss), awesome recording/production, awesome mastering and awesome pressing.
