I was flicking through creatives website looking for a new card for my PC

    http://www.soundblaster.com/products/x-fi/technology/music/

    It mentions anew audio format.

has anyone heard of this before, is it any good?, is it a compressed format?

Has any one had an exerience of using theese things as a preamp?

    That is all,

    Thankyou

Are you referring to the 'x-treme fidelity crystalizer'? Sounds like an upsampler to me, like any other upsampling DAC. I have an Audigy 2 notebook. Its not the be all and end all of course, but the ADC and DACs are suprisingly good for £70, certainly doesn't make me feel the need to pay the extra £280 it'd cost to get a Hammerfall or something.
