Unless it's any more interesting to roll around in than the last model, definitely the latter.

had a ride in one while i was on holiday - they are ok inside - roomy and well screwed together. it's a bit bmw 5 series though as most of their customers don't do 'funky' unless it's a bit of a blue tint to the hair.
it'll last untill the heat death of the universe though.
    cheers

You're right there - my Civic VTI (96) hasnt caused any bother at all in over 3 years i've had it - having said that, i've got a feeling the dreaded time has come where everything starts to go - just replaced an anti-roll link pin, and now wheel-bearing(s) are starting to sound worse:rolleyes: Having said that, it does get a fair bit of stick.

When I first saw the new Civic in a mag I thought what have they done?!?!? But I looked at the Type-R version on the cover of a new mag, and have to say it looks very nice - a bit futuristic (as always) but nice:)

My type R provided the most fun I've ever had in a car, it suffered track days, hooligan style abuse and 40,000 miles without missing a beat, pads and tyres and that was it. Allt his in a car that rev's to 8.5k gets almost 200bhp out of 2 litres and feels unburstable.

    Honda's are great cars IMHO.

Thats what I needed to hear - the Type-R is what i'm looking to gor for next:D

I'm on a budget though, i've been waiting for the prices to drop - with the new model on the scene I guess the previous one should drop quicker.

I'm looking at about 6K to spend - do you think I might get one for this? Obviously it'll hve to be one of the first.

Agree with Joolsburger, on my second Type-R, sold the first one after 3 years, only changed the tyres. Second one just coming up for it's first service. My other half is on her second Jazz, Honda are definitely great cars IMHO. Will buy the new CTR once my current one is 3 years old.

I think 6 is a push mine was an 02 with about 43k and went for £9850. I think with a good history they are a great bet but obviously high milage might mean new discs, exhausts and so on which could add up. I'd say 8 would be bottom end for me right now.

However it's worth every single penny!!!!!! If you haven't check out civictype-r.co.uk.

I'm in a Saab 95 Aero now, I'm gutted. The civic was the only car I've had that I would regularly get into in order to just drive, I didn't even put in a new radio as it was never on!!!.
