Is there a specific reason that it needs to be an "AFTERMARKET" cable?

How about comparing a screened eupen ferrite loaded cable to generic stuff? They are pretty readily and cheaply available, I'd recommend using a "filtered" version, that is with build in filter.

The result should be a cable about as different as it gets compared to generic cable, but hardly different looking. It should be possible to get all cables "anonymised"....
