Yes at last the new stage is in the shops.

HFN/RR have just tested the P9/Apheta/IOS package and awarded it their 'outstanding product'.

Anyone seen it in the wild or heard it?

Uses Sowter step up transformers and variable cartridge loading - just like my phono stage :) so it must be good ;)

    Looks like it costs £1k-ish.

    Nasty knobs.

That'll look very odd in a Rega system.

I was just looking at it in HFN a minute or two ago. I thought it looked gorgeous. The way the flat knobs are recessed gives it a bit of a Nagra-esque look. I'd give it house room any time.

That filter seems a bit weird though. A Cynic might say they've put special filter in their phono stage that would probably only be of use with their own MC, because their own MC seemingly has a colouration obvious enough that it needs a filter to fix it .... or am I just being a bit cynical.
