    hi folks,
ok, I'm thinking of buying a new stereo amp to replace my Nad - while I'm happy with this amp, I'm don't think that it's entirely suited to my speakers - I would prefer to replace then amp than the speakers...

ideally, I would like an amp that can do to same duties as my nad - i.e. play music (obviously), drive my main speakers whilst watching dvds, this means being able to connect to to my yamaha AV amp, and be able to control my sub whilst playing music, unless it isn't needed...!!

cost wise, I'm not entirely sure, maybe upto 400 quid - but I dare say I'll be looking for a 2nd hand amp...I'm going to buy one straight away as I'm skint, but I'm just in the planing phase..!

    any suggestions then..?

    Only one suggestion really,
    Edenlake

Mine is fab, and that's been agreed by many critical listeners. I think you'd have to get up to the £1000+ mark to beat it.

I'm not sure, it has pre-outs on the front but no tape loop. You would be better perhaps scouting around for a 2nd hand Icon, as they have those niceties

I was going to suggest a ming but my question mark would be hooking up with the av amp. You might need some sort of buffering between the two. I know some of the more expensive av amps have this so Id check your handbook.
