    Just seen it:(
BBC report 3 incidents at tube stations and 1 bus. Reuters are saying it was a nail bomb at one station.

its hard to tell so far if its a bungled copy-cat, or kids messing about.

It's too early to say really, but apparently no casualties reported, just the detonators going off in backpacks. Just heard that the WHOLE of the London Underground is being closed down.

Sorry to sound like a mod, I moderate an other site and these threads grow very big. When stating thing like that can you please state the source, this avoids any confusion and speculation.

This is the latest from the BBC, I cannot see anything about the whole network being closed off.

I was meaining in general, its probably not really a problem on here becuase its not that busy, but an other thread there is all sorts of speculation which helps nobody.

From what the BBC say its not being classed as a major incident like that attacks a few weeks ago.

I heard that the entire underground was being shut down on BBC Radio 2 - but they did stress that there was a lot of info coming in and that obviously the 'facts' hadn't been confirmed. Apologies for any confusion...

Its ok, as I said it probably dosn't apply much on here, but on the other site there was all sorts of posts which all turned out ot be rubbish. At least if its sourced we can then make our own minds up with regards to the reliability of the source.

I am afriad it is no messing, 4 bombs failed to go off, 3 on tubes, 1 on buses, that is far too much of a coincidence.

Clearly terrorists are alive and well and still wanting to kill their muslim brothers.

My cousin works for London Fire Brigade - she's totally stressed out now after all this :(

Yep - another 4 bombs - bloody good thing they DIDN'T go off.

Surely to GOD though, on a packed tube, WHY didn't SOMEONE wrestle/punch out the foiled bombers - how hard can it be to smack a person's lights out? Especially if they look like they've just shit themselves 'cos their luggage hasn't exploded?

yeah, I thought about that last night - In theory you would go over and punch the f*ck out of him, but if the detonator went off and you knew he had a bomb in his rucksack....that could be scarey! but I bet he'd be sh*tting himself too...

it makes me real angry thinking about it tho

If I thought he was gonna detonate the bomb by another means (I'm going to die ANYWAY) I'd kick his arse. I bet then though I'd be done for assault and he'd get 1 minute's community service and a free cash handout...

Seriously - if someone tried to mug me at gun point I'd argue the toss - I'd be more nervous of a knife than a bomb or gun.
