I have a Michell Orbe with SME V which I have been happy with for a few years now but was thinking of an upgrade. Has anyone any experience of the Notts Analog Dias with Space arm, or maybe I would keep the SME and put this on a Dias. Opinions please.

The Space Arm is no match for the SME V.

Don't know about the decks mentioned above though. I used to have a Spacedeck and Space Arm but was disappointed and moved it on pretty quickly.

Dais is an excellent table, but there are other options out there for the price.

The SME V trounces the Space Arm and I am a long-term Nott user. I replaced a Nott arm for a reworked SME arm and the differences were very large in terms of resolution, timbre, and overall pacing.

The arms are built like tanks. Will last for a lifetime.

I think keeping your table with the SME arm is a smarter choice.

    Which cart are you using?

Yes I think you may be right Frank. I have spoken to some that say the Dias isnt a great improvment on the Orbe, and after all the Orbe was designed with the SME V in mind as John Michells favorite arm as I am led to believe.
