I have a tape head demagnetiser. It cost about 6 quid. One day when I'm really bored, I'll give it a try and see if it makes a difference.

As for 350 quid for this Furutech - it can only cost about 50 pence to manufacture

Keep those wallets closed. Even if it works there are much cheaper ways of acheiving the same result.
