Coming soon....guaranteed to put the frightners on the high-end DAC market The NuForce DAC-9 stands among audiophile-grade electronics as a definitive digital-to-analog conversion hub. In terms of versatility, the DAC-9's six digital inputs provide compatibility with all digital sources. With its defeatable volume control, the DAC-9 can be operated as a digital-only device. (The volume control is bypassed when the DAC-9 is operated with fixed output.) In order to optimize its signal-to-noise ratio, the DAC-9 sums the output of two separate output DACs. A unique output filter and minimalist analog output stage preserve phase coherency, thus providing natural overtone reproduction along with excellent transients. No audio oversampling filter and sample-rate conversion degrade the signal path. A toroidal transformer with multiple-stage voltage regulators provides tight, low-impedance power. For added convenience, the DAC-9 offers a high-performance headphone output with its own volume control. * 6 digital inputs (USB, XLR AES/EBU, RCA Coaxial or BNC, RCA Coaxial, Toslink, 3.5mm Optical*): * Plug-in USB module allows for future upgradeability to a higher-bit-rate USB interface card. * Coaxial or BNC S/PDIF input: Only one of these inputs can be used when Input 3 is selected. To achieve optimum performance, we recommend a 75-ohm BNC cable (available from NuForce) with a BNC connector. * On the front panel, a 3.5mm optical S/PDIF input. * Outputs: XLR, RCA, 3.5mm and 6.3mm headphone output*. The true-balanced XLR output produces twice the gain of the RCA output. The remote and front panel controls allow for fixed and variable voltages. * Touch panel control * Remote control: volume, input select, dim, mute * Volume and sample rate display * The headphone output and optical input share the 3.5mm Optical Input www.audiologica.co.uk www.audiologica.co.uk/nuforce_dac9.html audiologica@btconnect.com 01403 789226
