One mans speed is another mans less haste more speed.

Speed is reaction time and lag in electronic terms, that does not necessarily make the music faster

Fast devices need to be controlled, putting that control in the cable is IMO far more sensible than putting it at the output. Slow devices or overcontrolled faster devices need a way to subjectively speed them up hence Litz / Goertz cable aberrations. The result / reality is what you hear / feel, which from what ever direction you approach it should be looking for balance.
