that article is writen by someone who likes to quote generic formulea  but has never used there ears to listen with.

Stranded cables are no good for music reproduction,  why they are used is that they tend to be cheap to make hence large margins can be added also the tend to be more flexible.

Don't take my word for it try it yourself.

There are other aspects of the article that wrankle too but

you need to work it out for yourself......
