    Right gents and lasses,

I am trying to compile the difinitive (spel.) collection of old skool 80' & 90's dance/rave/house tunes.
    Tunes along the lines of

Silver Bullet - Bring forth the guillotine
Silver Bullet - 20 seconds to comply
Rat Pack - Searching for my rizla
A guy called Gerald - Voodoo ray
Fpi Project - Rich in paradise
    Humanoid - Stakka Humanoid
    ACIIIEEEEED
Baby D - Let me be your phantasy

So, dust off those old Deep heat albums, get your thinking caps on.
Reminisce about your first raving days when you had a white glove on one hand, a flouro stick in the other and a whistle in your mouth dancing around in a very demented fashion with a big acid smiley face on your shirt!!

I will not be selling any compiliation albums so dont expect any creative conultant commissions, its purely fo my own collection.

All help and recommendations greatly appreciated.

    Greg

I didn't get to my first rave until October 2002! At 27!!! And it was psyschadelic trance rather than the more mainstream. At the time I didn't "get" the rave thing - I missed out!

    how about,
    808 state - pacific state
    underworld - rez.
    empirion - narcotic influence
Rhythim is rhythim - strings of life

actually i'm cheating and just copying them off the back of 'disco biscuits' the absolute best commercial compilation album i've ever heard. the only thing missing is 808's in yer face purely for cheezy word nostalgia value.
    cheers

I've probably met the band members from 808 state as they run the Eastern Bloc (thats how it's spelt) record shop on Oldham Street.

Pure taste dude - and if you can find the BBC soundtrack to Loved Up, some of the tracks mentioned in this thread are on there - it's a sorted compilation.

Oh yeah - forgot about that one :)

What about Hit House - Jack to the sound of the underground?

Adventures of Stevie B - Dirty cash
    Adamski - NRG
Bizz Nizz - Don't miss the party line
Age of love - Age of love :)

Oh yeah - and of course Two men, a drum machine and a trumpet's Tired of gettin' pushed around - not AS dancy as most of the other stuff, but classic in its own way.

Beloved's Blissed out is one wicked album by the way - I only paid a quid for mine on vinyl and it's paid for itself umpteen times!
