Just to let people know, I have discovered some olson mains boards being sold new on ebay, here.

They're not the filtered sort, so they're just a good quality, metal bodied 4-way strip adaptor with some fairly hefty gauge copper wiring. At £10.99 a piece, that's not bad. They also have a ground stud on them. Also, the internals are all screw-terminal, so if you want to play with rewiring (no cable debates please), then they give you the option easily. Also fairly easy to build passive filters into for the DIY inclined. I've ordered a couple for my computer equipment, so that I can build some passives in to stop them putting so much noise out onto the mains.

Bought one myself...hope theres modding potential, £100 is a heck of a lot of money to me to splash out on a new filtered powerstrip, given that it won't necessarily make a massive difference (since apparently mains tweaks are very system dependent).

    :)

I need MOre than 4 sockets or might have gone for this.

8 plugs between my hifi/av, but only one wall socket!!!

I can't imagine that this is too healthy???

What's the RRP on these out of interest?

It's a shame that it has a neon switch - but I guess you can always bypass it.

garyi - since these are unfiltered, they wouldn't. I have a filtered one already, and it did make some difference to my system.

I've been looking at filters on Farnell, and it's possible to buy a filter unit similar to those used in the more expensive olson boards for about £12. I will see, once I get these, if it is possible to fit it into the unfiltered one. If so, for under £30, it's a pretty good option.

they use gauze of various sizes encased in PTFE and sperm. This enables that bad electrons to be assimilated and re-entered to the collective after the final gauze.
