    Very nice - did it go above your self-imposed maximum.

    Actually, just did a quick search on ebay shows someone's about to (in the next 2 hours) pick up a rather tasty 1.5 year old Bryston 9BST for £1600. Very nice - if I had £1650 spare I'd be in there.

    yes could've bid a silly amount and probably secured it, but that would've put me at my overdraft limit, and the amp may be more trouble than its worth replacing those big expensive valves.

    I mailed him at the start of the auction to ask about cash on collection and....



    ....Nothing. I heard zilch from him. Got me really spooked and I didn't touch the auction. Caveat Emptor and all that.
