    I went straight to New York; yeah - damn right - flirting SHOULD be a fineable offence - well, at least, if the woman's married or otherwise "not up for it" as that's cruel...

    I wander if that (British, I think) law about bees flying through a particular town is on there - I read it in "The world's greatest mistakes" - really must find that book again!

    It is illegal to give any pie to fellow diners. It is also illegal to take unfinished pie home. All pie must be eaten on the premises.

    ..so how are you supposed to cross the street then?

    (unless they have a very non-OED definition of "come", and this is addressing a genuine problem....in which case the 51m mark could be rather unpleasant :eek: )
