    Sorry I meant insurance, at least no long term damage has been done then, it dosn't get recorded on the vehicles history either does it. My dad had a couple accidents in his Punto were the third party's insurance paid and it wasn't logged. Its only recorded if its a write off or stolen insn't it?

    Not sure AT. When I part-exchanged my last car, I was asked if it had been involved in any accidents. Apparently that affects the resale value of the car. Even if it wasn't a write-off.
