I liked the look of these, but I couldn't possibly go in and listen to them because they were playing bloody Eva Cassidy.

Oh don't worry, I'll be fixing that tomorrow :D Thought it might be nice to see if my ears can bear the naim room to :) I notice those paint strippers were on display again, I'll take some casings that need shot-blasting, I'll sure they'll help remove a few layers :D WM

Well, the EAR room was playing Elvis ("Are You Lonesome Tonight") and that was great. And Eva Cassidy is rarely heard outside hi-fi shows IME, so there, yah-boo sucks.

Agreed there Ian. The millions who have made even her latest postumous release top the album charts are simply using the discs as silver coasters in her memory;)

Lamboy, I must have missed you then, because I came in as the solo drum started, got him to play some Stanley Clarke slap bass and then on went Norah. Spooky. I felt the slap bass just didn't start and stop quickly enough. It had the right bloom and tone but not quite there.

Went back for another listen today and was still disappointed. I really feel they need a bigger room in which to breath. I suspect that would help tremendously. However there were other exhibitors there in the same size rooms who weren't having problems so the mans excuse of 'it's the room' just don't cut it.

Back tomorrow, the joys of living 15mins away.

She's only top of the charts because a load of BMW drivers need something to play in the car. She sucks. Listen to Sandy Denny or Ann Briggs instead, the real deal.
