Folks, there's a nice-looking Downunder site that has just come on-line. So, any of youse wishing to waltz Matilda head on down to

    http://www.pancakeaudio.com/

It looks pretty empty at the moment, so perhaps we can give them a hand.

    Hi Tones

Blast, I'm not going to be able to refer to PFM as the "Pancake forum" any more now, not now there is one :)

Did you do a search on pancake hi-fi forums and turn this one up?

Looks good though. Ahhh, so many forums, so little time........

    Cheers

Not guilty, m'Lud. The organiser frequents HFC and mentioned it there. He says PFC and ZeroGain are two of his favourites. Clearly a man of taste and discretion.

I saw on hifi choice forum a link to the following website..
    http://www.decware.com

I went there, and read this... pretty funny....

Oh, and yes, I almost forgot... there are those $250.00 acoustic pillows you can stick to your walls, or even better than that.... magic "tuning" dots that you can also stick - and that by the shear act of using them will free you of the bondage of this dilemma. In fact I heard that if you paint your CD's green, put an M&M on the top of each speaker and stick a Brazilian carrot in your ass while sipping ginseng tea your stereo will never sound better!

    hehe

Im off for some green tea then

And exactly how many Brazilian carrots would Sir like, or would Sir prefer delivery by the bushel?

    BANNED!!!!

That's what the notice said when I tried to access Pancake this morning. What have I done? What haven't I done? In the long ago in Oz, in less PC days, employers would put up signs to the effect "No Irish need apply". I've been rumbled!

They must have heard about the golden ear trumpet and taken drastic action!!

Even more surprisingly, I don't seem to be banned, even though all I talk about is speakers :D

Next time, I must do it where they can't hear. Personally, I suspect that the Commonwealth Government has just discovered that I'm a teetotaler and has revoked my passport and declared me persona non grata, so the ASIO (Oz's SIS) has had me banned. Before you know it, I'll be up there with Fox Mulder (now I can't even get the UFO smiley - they're all after me, I tell you...)

    Tones Ban

    Hi Tones,

Sorry you found yourself banned...... I had my first trouble maker on the forum today, posting shit about his Teac micro system (work colleague) so I banned his ip address. Some how your ip address must have been between X - X so it banned you as well.

    I have lifted the ban.
