I really do need a new cdp, and I've been telling myself this for a good while and have built up quite a long "short list" over the last few months.

Currently I'm using a Marantz CD63KI, modded up quite a bit over the years. She's done me well mind you, I went on a CD quest around 8 months ago and came back empty handed as with a £1200ish budget, and nothing I listened to in that range was an improvement enough to justify the cost, go go trusty CD63!

Now things have changed, somehow a year ago £2500 seemed an insane amount to spend on a cd player and now it seems like a pretty good deal. Funny how things work like that

I discovered this evening that there is now a soul mate for my Pathos ClassicOne mk2, the Digit
the perfect match would certainly go down well with the mrs but has anyone actually heard one? (or the endorphin on which it is supposedly based)
I've read all sorts of marketing blurb for the endorphin, but have yet to hear the opinion of someone thats actually heard one in action

    cheers!

I still think £2,500 is far too much to spend on a CD player.

Spend it on some great speakers, instead! :)

I'm on PoaAc Response 1SC at the moment. Maybe not £2500, but the CD player is definitely the weakest link at the moment

I would demo it, if only I could find one :/
