Back in 1996 I bought a Gyro Export edition (that's the gold finish with smoked acrylic) with the QC power supply. This was then fitted with an RB900 and Ortofon MC3000-II.
This gave me a great deal of joy but one of my close friends who is Danish mentioned the Pedersen upgrade's and stated that their upgrades were very highly regarded in the Danish community.
There was then and still is now a circle of enthusiasts in Denmark whose name basically translates to 'The Hi-Fi Club'. My friend had a contact in this club who visited me with a ton of info about the Pedersen upgrades in '97. I remember him stating that he could take me to several owners in Denmark to demonstrate the modified decks to me.
I never went ahead with the modification as the next year I got a transfer with my job to the USA, so other things took priority.
I did always wonder about these mods though as the supporting evidence and testimonies that seemed in abundance amonst the Danish enthusiasts were extremely favourable.

I have a full Pedersen kit for the ORBE SE for sale on e-bay.

It was never even opened. The listing kicks off tomorrow at 1pm and is a HUGE reuction on the asking price. Reasons for selling are clear from the listing.

If you look at the kit pictures on the website you get a new acrylic plater so you could keep you current one uncut.
