Saddened to see that one of hi-fi's greatest has passed on. What can I say but, thanks, Peter, for a ton of listening pleasure that continues to this day (in fact, to this very moment).

    Hi,

It's sad to hear. Peter waker was one of the giants of hifi. In it's day, his company produced equipment that was novel & different to the rest. But it was bult to a high standard.

The quad II amps & the Electrostatic speakers were two items that stood out.

I have some Quad II in my collection & these have stood the test of time. The fact that you see loads of these & old Quads show that they had a lot going for them. A number of people still think his speakers cannot be beaten.

For a long time you mentioned Quad & people thought of quality hifi.

Peter Walker helped set the standards that other company had to follow & try to beat.
