Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this piece of equipment. Does anyone have the specifications for this or know any off the top of the head? I basically need to specs for it. I'd greatly appreciate if someone could help me out.

    Cheers

Hi Mr Soul. Welcome to the forum!

The FR731 is a pro logic and dolby 3-stereo only reciever. It doesn't support newer formats such as dolby digital or dts.

    In stereo MOde, it's 2 x 55W (8ohm)

In surround MOde this drops to 35W into the front and center speakers, and 15W into the rears.

AM/FM tuner with 30 station meMOry.

    Bass/treble/balance controls.

The levels can be altered for the center and rears and there's a test tone function to help with this.

Fixed power cord, spring clip speaker terminals

If you need to know anything else, give me a shout and i'll try and help

    MO :)

Pretty sure it can't, but I'll have to check to confirm....

I've passed the reciever on to my parents who do however have something similar to what you say. But, they've done it by simply squeezing two sets of speaker cables into the front speaker posts.

I'm not really sure about the risks involved with this, but it seems to work without any problems for them.
