On saturday night I dragged myself along to my usual drinking hole to watch/listen to what I'd been told I really shouldn't miss..... Phillip Roebuck. Banjo weilding one man band. T'was a great show. Full of energy and had the crowd very entertained. Between every song you could hear people commenting along the lines of "this is fucking nuts!", and getting into it. The MOst amusing thing was watching the mix of saturday night/bank holiday wknd clubbers, dancing (attempting) along with those who had come along specifically for the show. Shirts, shoes and designer haircuts, jumping about next to dreadlocks and tie-dye. I bought the cd "Fever Pitch" and it's good, but you really need to see this guy live. Few remaining UK dates....
