everything sold in the EU has a 24 month warranty on it. and it's up to them to prove that you damaged it rather than it being a piece of crap within the first 12 months. no exceptions..
it is upto the vendor to fix it and is not the responsibility of the manufacturer unless they can provide you with a legally binding agreement between vendor and maufacturer that the manufacturers accepts responsibility for faulty goods.
they have to provide you with a phone that is fit for the purpose it was sold. dont take any shit from them and quote them the sales of goods act 1979, sales of goods and services act revised 1982 and the 2002 european wide directive.
