    Hi,
My amp has only line inputs. What do I need to plug a turntable:
a phonostage or step up transformer?
What's the difference between the two?
    Regards,
    Ricardo

You need a phonostage. Besides getting the voltage from the cartridge up to line level, you also need to do RIAA correction, which only a phono pre can do. Try the Lehmann or Clearaudio phono stages.

Thanks. I'll be going for something used and cheaper, this is just for fun.
