As we seem to have quite a strong photographic community on ZG, how about a specific photography section or something. I'm certainy well impressed with some of the images that have been put up and I'd find it quite inspirational I'm sure

Yeah it would also give ZG another reason to exist, sort of evolving from a hifi only site to something a wee bit better... and I'd like to see some photos too

Better than ZG? Sacrilege :D . I'll have to think about it. TBH I'd prefer not to expand the remit of ZG into other areas. A photo gallery itself is not really supported by the forum software but there's nothing to stop people posting links to their own web galleries or embedding images in posts.

If we had a photography section then we'd soon have a section about cars, computers and all other manner of "boys toys" and I'm not really sure that's a direction I really want to take things in. OTOH I don't really have a "vision" for the forum and never have had since I started it more or less by accident of circumstance. I keep it going now more out of a duty to the members than any real driving idea or vision.

    Michael.

    Michael, point taken.

Maybe a sticky in the chat section as an alternative ?

I'm not hung up on the idea :D but have been quite impressed with Isaacs and Greenphoto's recent offerings on various threads.

Not looking to step on ZG's toes, and remove this if you feel it is michael, but the forums of the website I've been involved in do cover a wider base of toys and might be of interest: http://www.enscape.net/forums/index.php

The site itself has been very slow/dead of late but we're changing a few things around with the format of it and will get it back going again.
