Can you guys recommend good sites for hosting pictures? I use pBase and find that after a while the pictures just stop showing up. Obviously I'd like something reliable but not too costly;).

this is the one I use...its great, you can buy a pro account (unlimted uploads etc) for 24 dollars a year (12 quid?) - and you can down and app that allows you to drag and drop multiple images making uploading much easier...

you can initially (or permenantly) setup a free account (the pro can simply be upgraded) for you to play with...

    highly recommended

I'd second Flickr. Very slick, well worth the $24 annual "Pro" fee for unlimited upload, integrates with Adobe Lightroom (which I also utterly recommend and is great value for money) including meta data so I can easily manage photos and edit tags/descriptions etc, then in two clicks export them to Flickr and the tags/descriptions upload too. This has been one of the few recent "completely positive" experiences using technology.

How do you change of the order in which the pictures are displayed in an album or slideshow?

In any album/gallery, pBase displays them in order of their upload. I.e. oldest one first. Both Flickr and Photobucket display them in the opposite order. :grrr:

    Edit: Quite easy with Flickr:).

    Not tried it, Dev.

I just use the site as a straightforward means of getting pics onto forums.

(if I once got started on that stuff I'd be there all day!! )

You are right David, but if you want to show your projects or holiday snaps in the correct order it helps if the software allows you to sort your pictures in the correct sequence.
