Oooer. That is good news. Wonder if that means we can see some other future dates on the cards. I'd pay good money to see Floyd if Waters was back on board. Also, I suspect they's make a bloody mint.

Will they even talk to each other though?

They should get Syd back too :)

Twenty years is a long time not to talk to one another, but apparently Geldof spoke to Gilmour and then to Waters and then Waters called Gilmour and they agreed to do it. Maybe 20 years of not talking to one another is long enough. Pretty sure they won't be playing any of the "faux" Pink Floyd stuff Gilmour cooked up after the split though. Can't see Waters putting up with that, given all the rude comments he made, especially about the last one.

Given the rumours about Syd's state of mind these days, I suspect it wouldn't be something many would want to see. I heard a suggestion from someone that Syd Barrett actually has it made - he's still getting six figure royalties and he has the mystique of a rock star who died young - a sort of have your cake and eat it situation.

What - is that about the "Dirision Bell" - can't say I'm surprised if so :)

Yeah - apparently Syd's a total recluse - too much acid I suppose... It's a real shame he went so "odd" though - I'd love to meet him one day but he never opens his door.

This is good, id like to hear some of Waters solo stuff thrown in too. My only fear is that we might have another Lez Zep at Live Aid scenario, I hope not.

So we could have Comfortably Numb (perhaps a fitting description of many Westerner's views or lack of them on Africa) performed the way it should be. I've heard both Pink Floyd (without Walters) try it and Walters try it without Gilmour and it isn't complete: you need Walters' voice for the verses, Gilmour's voice for the chorus and HIM playing his guitar solo at the end.

I can just imagine the youngsters in the audience saying "Hey, those old geezers have ripped off a Scissor Sisters song"!

Well the Scissor Sisters are playing on the same bill. Mebbe old Roger and Dave'll join them .... or perhaps not.

I reckon their 4 song set will be 3 off DSOTM and then The Tide is Turning off Radio Kaos.
