    FOR SALE

Tom Evans-tweaked audiophile CD player at a bargain price.

Also makes a great CD transport with its RCA co-ax digital output.

    Plays CDRs with no trouble.

Nice condition (a few slight marks, but looks great) - works perfectly & sounds really, really good !!

    Excellent stable platter mech.

Remote control, no manual, no original box.

Will post at cost (about £10 for Parcel Force, £20 or so for Special Delivery) - or buyer can collect (GL17 9SR).

    £165.

    PayPal accepted.

Hi Andy - Perhaps my wording in the ad was bad ....

Mine is the standard "Pioneer PD-S505 Precision" which is a Pioneer CDP with design tweaks by Tom Evans. No additional clock or PS mods have been done.

Hmmmm ... It still doesn't seem clear to me ... ... are you with me?

I hope I'm not teaching anyone to suck eggs

I've got one of these too.

As part of the 'Tom Evans tuning' there is a seperate 'superclock'* module which is standard on the PDS505 as opposed to the standard clock on the motherboard. This module is fed by it's own independent power supply.

I have some pictures of mine somewhere if you want then PM me and I'll dig them out. I'm in the long slow process of dynamatting it as well.

*Not the audiocom branded 'superclock' clock.

P.S. What did it sell for?
