For those that were unaware; Play.com recently split their site in two by launching Playusa.com.

All the Region 1 DVD's and import CD's shifted over to the new site but their prices remained in Euro's and the postal address was from Brussels. This meant 'no tax'.

It does seem however that they are implimenting phased changes and the next shift was to start pricing in CAD (Canadian Dollars).

So, anybody any ideas if the Barstewards have changed the mailing address from Brussels to Canada [for Playusa.com purchases] ?

Mind you, I'm unsure what customs would make of a package from Brussels which is valued in CAD, so even if they haven't changed the address would I still have to pay the required duties ?

Yup if you now order anything over £18 from playusa be prepared to pay import tax. I ordered Babylon 5 Series 3 on dvd last august (it wasnt released until november over here). So if you want to order anything over that head over to www.dvdboxoffice.com where you shouldnt have to. They take a bit longer than play do but havent been stung yet :) Although dvdboxoffice charge in canadian dollars it actually shows up on your cc as pounds. You can also change the display to show English money so you know how much you spend :)

No I dont work for em either before anyone asks.
