I helped set up an area close to an urban conurbation...where my scout group could have an safe outdoor environment ...this was back in 1970's

the site has been use by local people and of course the scout group for the last 30 years ...and holds many happy memories and a considerable amount of rare wildlife.

The local district council wishes to build a road through the site ....for no obvious benefit...unless its one of there cons to get funding from the government or the EU. My thoughts are that they think it will be easier to throw off the scouts than take this unwanted highway through either the a joining golf course or farm land on the other side. Lets make certain its not !

if your interested please follow the link below

just a heads up ......to save "pepper pots"

I've placed the details in general chat .....but the gist of my problem is the local district council want to build a road through a scout activities site [that I helped setup] .....if you feel this is unacceptable please follow the links and make your views known to the council ......

thanks for taking the time to read.

So did I. Imagine my disappointment:).

Anyway I've moved it to the General Chat room and merged the 2 threads.
