I recently purchased some JVC cordless FM stereo headphones. (product code on box is: HA-WSOORF.

Anyway im not sure where to post this, so ill post here as i dont have time to look around for the exact forum to post this in so please can someone help me (lol you can tell im new to this site, and new to wireless headphones)

I basically want to connect them to use with my xbox and widescreen 32" TV. So far i can connect them to the back of my TV in a red and white port. this allows the tv channels to be heard with the headphones. But i cant get the sound of the xbox (games) to come through. I believe i may need some kind of audio adapter but i have no idea what im looking for. Also my TV has no headphone sockets and its a MATSUI 32" pureflat widescreen TV.

im trying to rig this up since me and my girl have a baby boy on the way and it will be more convenient.

    :D

That seems odd, as I guess that your XBox is connected to your TV through a SCART and that you can hear the audio through the TV speakers without any problems?

I'm not familiar with your TV, but it might be worth looking through the manual/on-screen menus to see if you have to enable an option for any of the AV channels to be output through the line-out sockets (the sockets you are using to run your headphones from).

Just a guess - TVs aint really my thing!

thanks m8t i have just looked at the feature menu setting and there is an option to change it to AV-1 output ive tried it but no luck, ive noticed that when i unplug the audio connectors connected to the xbox scart (connected to tv) the sound goes off so i assume this is where the headphone audio connectors (red and white should go) but nothing! i have also tried the other red and white slots (2 other sets) on the TV

you need to unplug the phono plugs from the xbox scart adaptor and connect those to your headphone transmitter thingy. I should imagine the sound probably does go off when you unplug them ;) . You need to get a pair of adaptors, one per channel, which allows you to connect 2 male RCA phono sockets together. Connect xbox audio leads to one end, headphone transmitter leads to the other. Assuming I've understood correctly and the headphone transmitter has leads coming out the back? If it also has sockets like the ones in the back of the tv, plug xbox straight into there. Somewhere like maplin should sell you the adaptor

EDIT: I assume those other sets of sockets on the tv are for rear surround speakers, centre and sub. I don't know if that helps you at all but you don't want to plug into them.

The sender should have two sockets or a socket and a flying lead. One for power and the other for signal. The product code looks like it should be HA-W500RF. I';d be very suprised if you can't use the adaptor to connect to the TV's headphone output[ normally behind a drop down flap ] the 28" has a headphone socket .....!

If not you need the audio out sockets normally red and white rca's to which you need to attach the following adaptor....Jack to Phono Leads.. 3.5mm stereo plug to rca plugs rapid code 20-2952 cost £1.35.
