    Platonic?

This person has a female friend. They were introduced about 18 months ago by mutual friends, initially it was on a 'dating' basis but for one thing or another it didnt work out a just 'friends' was settled on. This person did have strong feelings for this female at the time. The relationship broke down totally about 6 months ago as she started to treat this person very badly. Out of the blue she got in contact again a few weeks ago. Since then its been phone calls, texts every day etc. The female has said that she has not seen anyone since this person, loved the times they spent together and now whats him to meet all her mates from work. Now, would you say this female has more than platonic feeelings for this person?

To a guy it would look like she had other intensions, but she isnt a guy!! to her it might be she has missed her FRIEND and thinks they now have the message they are only friends - tread carefully they think and act so differently to us

If I valued them as a friend i wouldnt make a move (wait for absolute positive signs) but can you spend the rest of your life watching someone you want with other guys? Definately meet her mates though she might be trying to get you off with one of them (girls do this) because she thinks you ahhem your friend is a great guy that just doesnt do it for her.

Watch when Harry met Sally again for this in action ;)

    Is she from Pluto perchance?

She sounds like a potential bunny-boiler to me.

I'll second that opinion. She sounds like a nutter.

(and just for the record that'd be Platonic, as in the philosopher Plato, not Plutonic which would as Joe suggests mean she's from another planet - which of course she might be metaphorically speaking  )

yes yes Ive changed the spelling, she might be from pluto though.

This person isnt sure that he wants more from it, he's not physically seen her for abit despite all the hints she's dropped. I think too much water has gone under the bridge, women are too confusing if you ask me.

I guess there are times being the guy, one have to have a heart made from stone, or should that be steel, and plays along to see how things develop.

Why not suggest that your friend tries it on, see if she's game on for it?
If she is, smiles all around, if not, you friend doesn't waste any more time and can go on to play elsewhere doing something more productive.

Bunny Boilers serious no-no. seek immedate nite out with the guys, followed by a session at your local 'empourium of dancing and merryiment' on grab a granny nite (over 25 these days :D ) and be safe in the knowledge, you don't have to give her a key after the first date :)

See, women are like a computer virus or a dodgy programme. The mans brain is like a decent version of windows, easily capable of carrying out many tasks in the most effecient manor. Day in day out everything is fine, you know where you are, how it works, its easy to understand. Then one day it crashes, just stops, nothing works yet the fans running and the light flickers, thats when a women has got involved.

Too true man! I have been thinking the same thing over the last week, woman change how they act and feel about things so much and so fast while guys manage to remain a sane (or in my case stably insane) person all year round. Hell it's almost enough to turn you gay :( ...or maybe not!

women are a lot more emotionally unpredictable, and unstable, moods vary so much, you have to learn to spot this, psycho women(covers all kinds) are to be avoided at all costs, they can make big problems, men otoh are logical and largely you know where you are with them.

I think he's decided that he doesnt have the same feelings he once did anyway so he's not going to go down that rd, if that road is there to go down. Too much has happened, too much water etc etc

Don't even get ME started - but based on the abridged bit above - repeat after me:
"Hot potato hot potato hot potato"

Unless he wants his fingers burnt - run, don't walk.

Been there done that got the t-shirt. But if that woman was up for it, I'd have some fun as a kind of payback with interest...
