Went to 'The Concorde' down by Brighton beach last night to see a very good little Japanese band called 'Polysics'.

They consist of a male lead singer/guitarist and drummer and a female bassist and keyboard player. They were hilarious  . the only way I can describe them is industrial manga pop. The lead singer was brilliant and his stage antics were like something out of 'Akira'.

Anybody ever heard of them  ?

I saw them in Liverpool a couple of months ago. Absolutely superb, there is a thread over on pfm somewhere as I was so impressed by them. They are playing Liverpool again on Mon IIRC, but sadly I'll probably miss them as I'll be in a car coming back from London.

    Tony.

    Cheers Chaps :) .

Tony, you're spot on about how tight they were and how good the Synth girl was. That vocoder had us all rolling about :D ! Class. She was also very attractive - which always helps ;) . The bass player was IMMENSE. She was absolutely thrashing that thing but remained composed all the way through. Total class and highly recommended.
