I heard the question at a recent meeting of the ZG pub quiz team and the answer is

elvis costello and little hands of concrete. The name arises I think from king of america where EC hired a bunch of top flight us session guys Think ex presley band rather than steely dan/sting etc. These guys weren't that impressed with EC's guitar playing. they're lucky they didn't hear him play the piano.

    my question

who said uttered a phrase that could be translated as 'more farmyard building' and why?

    Old McDonald?

And why? Because his sheep were getting a bit frisky and had to be seperated from the geese?

    Hi

It's Bobby Valentino. He was a Clark Gable lookalike and has played on many records as a session player. He was also in the Hank Wangford band. Who I have seen & enjoyed.

He also took the Bluebells to court over royalities, even though he was just a session player, and won.

Well I know Alvin Stardust has a DJ son, but we've had that question before. And old Alvin isn't a guitarist.

    Marc Bolan?

    Hi

    Not Marc Bolan.

    More clues.

The guitar hero has played with a number of big hitters in the pop & rock world including the chameleon of popular music. ( Not Boy George).

His son has an album that includes the likes of Mos def, Sean Paul & Jack White.

    Hi Ian,

    You are the winner.

The late Mick Ronson who has worked with David Bowie (The Chameleon of Pop), Ian Hunter, Lou Reed, Bob Dylan, Meatloaf, John Mellencamp, Morrissey, David Johanson, Midge Ure etc.

He had a son called Mark who has released an album called "Here comes the Fuzz". Mark is a hip hop dj producer & his current single "Ooh Wee" has hit the charts. The tune uses a Boney M sample. (Sunny).

    over to you Ian.

    An easy one:

Which group named themselves after a character in a Harper Lee novel?
