Ingrid Chavez sings on Cafe Europa on the Dead Bees on a Cake album by David Sylvian, she's in the Prince Film Graffiti Bridge and also has helped him out with a few of his albums.

She's also known as Mrs Sylvian.

She is indeed Mrs Sylvian. She has appeared on various other songs on Sylvian (not just Dead Bee's on a Cake) and with a few obscure Japanese artists with David. Apparently David and Prince did actually rough record a few tracks together.

    Over to you Sarge.

He has produced albums for The Comsat Angels, Desmond Dekker and Peter Baumann.

    It's not linked BTW.

Dean, I thought RP, but couldn't find any details of him producing TCA. He got them signed to Island and appeared on one of their albums but which one did he produce? Mind you I hope you're right:D

    Hi Lee,

I thought of Robert Palmer from the Desmond Dekker clue. He produce the early 80s album Compass Point for Mr Dekker. I got the Peter Baumann link as well.

I too wasn't sure about Bob producing The Comsat Angels. I know of the Comsat Angels music quite well. They were from my home city. I remember them at the time (early 80s). They were a rated band of that post punk/ later new wave/ early indie era (late 70s to early 80s). They were up there with bands like U2, Echo & the Bunnymen, etc. But they never had the big breaks.

Robert Palmer was on Chasing Shadows album from 86. He sang on it but he was also an Executive producer on the record.

I'll think of a question tomorrow. I've just come back from a day of paintballing & I'm going to unwind with a beer or two.

As far as I'm aware (always a dangerous way to start a question  ), although AFX and Squarepusher are often mentioned in the same breath, they've only done one tune togeather. Anyone care to name it, the album for a bonus smartie too :)

Haven't got the album, but the track is Freeman Hardy & Willis Acid which appears on the Warp 100 compilation.

I love Tom Jenkinson's bass. I want to hear him and Max Sedgley (drummer with Roni Size) do an album with DJ Spooky. Now that would shock the jazz heads.

Yep, saw the TV one and also live. Mind you I've also heard his DJ sets and didn't think much of them.

OK a question then who links The Bays with Steve Hogarth (Marillion) ?

    Hi

That would be the Beatles in 1963 with She loves you & I want to hold your hand.

The answer to the other question is Andy Gangadeen who played drums in the Bays & in Steve Hogarth's band.

Thank goodness you've come along Dean.

Yep, The Beatles. Not sure if anyone else has done it. As for The Bays question there is one other as well, Richard Barbieri.

    So over to you sir.
