Seems to be asked often, so i'll try to make this as simple as possible.....

A couple of options exist.

If it's an image that is already online

Simply put. Copy the images location, click on "insert image", enter the image address and there you have it.

In more detail...

Right click on the image and select properties.
Then you will be shown a properties box for the image.
Copy the images address (url).
This can be done by highlighting the address (left click at the start of the address and drag the cursor to the end - or - tripple left click to highlight - or - right click on the address and click on "select all"). Once highlighted, again right click on the highlighted address and select copy (or use ctrl + c keys).
Next go to where you wish to post the image and click the "Insert Image" icon above where you will be prompted to inset the image url.
Right click where you enter the address and "paste" it in (or ctrl + v), and press OK.
Your image address will then be shown in your post box, complete with the necessary "tage" for it to appear as an image.
eg. http://www.your pictures url.jpg

Alternatively you can paste the address straight to the post and enter the image tage yourself. at the start and at the end (without the spaces).

If using firefox as your browser, when right clicking an image there's a handy "copy image location" option. By doing this you don't have to open properties and copy the address yourself.

If it's an image from your harddrive

First you need to get the image uploaded. If you have your own webspace, you can do it to there.
Or there are various other places, both free and paid for. http://photobucket.com is free and easy to use. You will need to register and then follow the simple instructions to upload images from your computer.
From there you will be given several links you can use to post your images. Copy the appropriate link then use it to post the image as above.
