    Hi,

Aren't you supposed a Dr. med? Why on earth would make such hugely inaccurate claims? Did you not learn the facts?

They are probably just revealing the rest of your system/room acoustic.

James you are such a wind-up. I just can't believe you get a response every time!

    Hi,

Wrong. The ear canal produces a fairly narrow resonant peak, the broadband rise in midrange sensitivity is down to other effects. As you seemed to have missed the classes on the subject:

    http://physics.mtsu.edu/~wmr/ear.htm

Thank you very much for your concern, but I'm actually splendid. Could it be that you are projecting your problems onto others?

Lets not forget the extra neural processing applied to further enhance the ears performance in the mid-range as well as the physical optimisation for mid frequencies.

I beleive Bubs area of expertise is somewhat lower than the ear and perhaps not entirely surprising ;)

It too has a canal which amplifies Bubs midrange like an organ pipe - giving it a fair measure of unwanted forwardness!

shin, you have to get used to the idea that if you criticise something bub owns then he takes it as an insult and goes off on one.
the trick is to not make eye contact, back away slowly and carry on whatever you were doing.
i've never liked atc's mid range driver - i think it's overly forward and harsh however most people who do like it are either studio types with perforated eardrums or those of an advancing age so that tells me something. if you do find it suits you then good luck and party on.
    cheers

So many axes to grind, I think its gone well beyond criticising kit and is now just an excercise in annoying each other. There's very little in the way of constructive comments comming from you or any of the other three.

And I see that the topic is swinging to completely irrelevant garbage very quickly.

Actually I did post constructively on the topic at hand - as Bubs post was factually incorrect

I too find the atc driver rather harsh and I speak as a fan of the monitor approach

    And the petty, childish snipes?

I'm guessing they were constructive too. The only thing they do in my eyes is show you in bad light. Why lower yourself continually whenever bub decides to post his usual stuff?

Plenty of folks on this earth and plenty of opinions too. As long as we're happy, who gives a hoot what others think. The old axe grinding is completely transparent here.

    Hi,

Hardly. I was staggered by the inaccuracies in what a Dr. Med had to say on the human hearing system. I merely askd if he did not know because it was not on the curiculum, if he slept through the lecture, forgot or if he is disemminating what he knows to factually inaccurate.

I also suggested some material that may allow him to get back on factual issues.

If that is "bitchslapping", how would you interpret most of your own posts?

Don't try to drag me into your 3-way. BTW 'bitchslapping' is generally a couple of girls trying to fight but mainly comming off as just looking daft.

Fact is, the whole bub vs. bio and 3d is old, boring and frankly embarrasing.

    Hi,

You WHAT? I could not care less what you do.

I am not sure what you are refering to. Someone, who should know better and who may be considered as authority on things physiological made a completely ridiculous assertation, which was challenged and corrected.

If that is embarrasing then surely not for me. As for being bored, no-body asked you to read it.

Picking around the good stuff is tough work when its surrounded by the superfluous. And lets face it, that happens often when you, bio and bub get in the same thread and decide you want to pick at each other - if you need further confirmation take a look in the petty fights section - laughable.

And generally you don't realise that some text is drivel until you've actually read it.

Indeed - they pointed out that Bubs medical expertise lies in another direction following his somewhat inexplicable assertion. A slight humourous interlude followed relating his assertion to the actual area of his specialisation. There was no other reason for my post other to correct his factual errors. I dont have an axe to grind. In fact since Bub realised the error of his ways re: Linn, mana etc we enjoy very cordial relations.

Now back to the topic please.

Jeez, he is going to luv all this when he does his regular 24-hourly "how many times has Bub been mentioned" thread check up.

All this over a frigging power cord.

Especially as power cords (or any cable) make little or no difference - now a decent lab grade filter thats another matter.
