    Bloody good idea Julian and for me easily do-able by buying small front speakers for the Denon AV amp. Unfortunately I wouldn't get it past the boss. Anyway I've thought about the suggestions and decided I shouldn't rush it.

    dev you could easily stash a pair of kef eggs or whatever (don;t tannoy do some cute little a/v dc's?) behind your tannoys - totally invisible to the boss and sonic nirvana for you.
