My main drivers do have bits that stick out, like a cone, those ones didnt, but they are mk2 I think and ours are Mk 1.5. The tweeters are on opposite sides on each speaker, I think the tweeter is supposed to be closest to you. Dunno if this makes sense?

There's no golden rule as to whether to have the tweeters towards the outside or middle; give both a shot and see what you prefer. In my experience it's a trade off between width of soundstage and focus, like toeing in.

I'm not so sure... BOTH my Elas have dented tweeters (I got them REALLY cheap!) and I reckon it's a slightly harsher treble than there should be; the ones in the Kytes are smoother, and that can't be, since the Scanspeaks are renowned for smooth treble....

<Amusing mental image of guy with enormous mouth round end of horn, whilst mischevious 'mate' quickly hits play for a passage of rather loud music :D >

It is a very small dent on one of the tweeters so can't see it being too bad:

The treble seems very smooth in my system, and Rotel amps are not really known for being the smoothest amps around.

Once used a piece of sellotape that I'd destickied by attaching it to my jacket and then pulling it off with great success.
