The Primare quality of the DVDI10 one-box system shines through in the latest Home Cinema Choice magazine: the reference guide to high end home theatre. Achieving astonishingly good test results for low A/V jitter and power consumption, the DVDI10 proves that even a combi system can aspire to high-end build and performance. Awarding a ‘best Buy’ logo, reviewer Danny Philips was ‘hit for six’ by the sound and by the picture quality which was ‘immaculate’.
Danny Philips, Home Cinema Choice October 2009

The new DVDI10 features a high performance proprietary Class D amplifier system to be compared to some of the best of class-AB amplifiers. It draws from music and film sound a sense of authority that belies the system’s 75 watt (into 8 ohm) per channel specification. World class performance in the entire audio band has been achieved by carefully choosing components and refining Class D technology to a layout that is as simple as it is efficient.

Generating very little heat while being extremely efficient, this technology is perfectly suited to the ultra-compact DVDI10 design. Of course, the amplification is fully protected from over current, over temperature and over voltage. This ensures that the loudspeakers are safe from harm during all conditions.

The DVDI10 shares much of the same video technology as the DVD26. A high performance Shinwa SHD-2503 CD/DVD drive has been carefully modified by Primare prior to its integration with handpicked components in the innovative circuit topology. A wide range of video outputs ensures availability of the highest quality image your display device supports. The HDMI output features scaling up to 1080p.

Full flexibility in system building is supported by three audio analog audio inputs, in addition to which a 3.5mm combined headphone output and line input jack plug is found at the front of the DVDI10. Two sets of analog outputs and the analog “sub” output are combined with a “tape out” for recording, and a “pre” output giving a variable-level output to a second preamplifier or power amplifier. The digital outputs allow you to connect to a digital surround processor. As the DVDI10 provides analogue to digital conversion, every source is available on the digital output.
