My ESL57's are a rare original matched pair with consecutive serial numbers (26494 and 26495). I bought them about 12 years ago from a hi-fi shop specialising in retro and esoteric hi-fi. The speakers were fully serviced by them and two panels were replaced before I bought them. So they sound great - with no crackling or arcing. Cosmetically they are in pretty good shape for their age, but there are a couple of small dents to the front grilles that are really only noticable close up. Some of the woodwork around the back is also scratched in places, but who ever looks round the back when the 57's are playing :)

Sadly I haven't had the room for them so they have hardly been used in the last 5 or 6 years, and I've resigned myself to having to part with them as I no longer have a dedicated listening room.

    For sale for £500.

    Cheers :)

    Ah yes, a 2nd pair.
What am I thinking, selling them - no doubt I'll regret it in years to come - I should be buying a 2nd pair :)

Someone has decided to come and buy the 57's next weekend. So unless it falls through (in which case I'll update this thread) they are sold.
