Not really about the right price and a service form "big dubya" is really quite keenly priced (a new mech is around £170 ;) )

Ok wm, I've sent him an email anyway as i've got £1000 in total with selling the tag and arcam. Will have to find a suitable Dac though.

The Nos is worth a try at the cash, I have a full wadjet example, I don't see what all the fuss is over (but thats me), its merely different. however for the outlay, I would consider it and Issac could rustle you up some juicy psu as well.
    Just one option

That would be really interesting combo, after all the fuss of the "cheapness" of the NOS Dac in respect to some of the Dacs that is has replaced, to pair it with a top end transport, (as we know transports make very little diffrerence ;-)) I would imagine being a real eye opener

    Philip,
Yes the NOS dac gets more than a shot in arm from a quality transport, due to its design.
Its also fair to say that its sounds 'Interestingly' different, when being feed from a hdd system/SB2 to a quality Cd transport. or even a half about dvd player.
Though maybe its my imagination as transports are totally irrelevent
