Quick Corras question

I know there are a few users of these ikea thingies but I was wondering what sort of weight they can take on them when they are on the castors?

An unscientific ' plenty'. You can sit on them no problem - the castors are under the verticals, so pretty stiff. The intermediate shelf would bow over time if you stuck a Krell on it, though.

The heavy items would be on the very top and the very bottom, with a cd player on the shelf, so it sounds like it'll work out well - should be handy being able to spin the unit round to plug stuff in for a change, rather than leaning over the top.

 

A mate has the metal castor bracket screwed-on, but left the actual castor off - it's a kind of free spike...

PS just experimented for you: 90Kgs OK, not even a creak
