No, a German plug (or chord) is all you need. The voltage is more or less the same.

They're smaller plugs, similar to the French - 2 pin with a strange earth arrangement. You can probably pick up an adapter at the airport.

This will tell you everything, Ultrasonic:

    http://users.pandora.be/worldstandards/electricity.htm

The Germans use a variation of the so-called "Schuko" plug (Type F), a cylindrical thing that fits into a matching recess in the socket. Earthing is provided by two diametrically-opposed (why do I always sound like a patent attorney?) earthing strips down the sides. France uses the same design, except that earthing in France is via a third pin that protrudes from the socket itself and fits into a corresponding hole in the plug.

As Steve says, the airport shops sell adaptors.
