Quick Rega Planar question

    Does anyone know if a UK Rega Planar 2 will work straight out of the box in the US? I'm selling one on eBay and someone's asked.

    No expert, but I don't think it will. It'll run at the correct speed on 50Hz AC and the US is on 60Hz, so it'll run too fast. I'd guess that Planar's shipped to the States have a spindle machined a bit smaller to accomodate.
