10/10 for me too. In my day, this test would have been regarded as very easy. Youth of today, mutter mutter.

TBH I thought it was pretty easy too. Gutted that I got "tow/toe the line" wrong  - it was the only one I had any doubt over.

I get some documents at work that I have to work hard to restrain myself from sending back with red pen all over them. Subsequently, the author of one in particular pointed out something that wasn't even wrong on one of mine...

    King William's College quiz

May I suggest something a little harder?

I find that The King William's College quiz plus answers via the Guardian sure does give the old grey matter a good workout.

Pupils at King William's College on the Isle of Man have suffered this fiendish general knowledge quiz for 99 years. The average score is just two.

I try to answer at least one question from that quiz every year (the Grauniad run it every xmas). I generally only manage to get one!

8/10 for me. But then I never was any good at English. I was in the CSE class where they didn't teach grammar. In tests I would always get a maximum 10 marks deducted for incorrect spelling/punctuation etc. I had to retake the exam to get an O Level pass.

    Oh well. C'est la vie
