Have you done the incognito rewire?

If so whats your opinion on the bennefit/drawbacks?

    Cheers

    Yep, I've done it.

Very worthwile upgrade over the stock cable. Improvements were in the area of tonality. The incognito bringing an enhanced sense of colour and smoothness to the sound.

Quite easy to fit as well. Although soldering the cartridge clips was fiddly.

    Good luck.

I am quite friendly with Terry O Sullivan of Loricraft and he has made two distinct points about the RB300.

    1. It is a very good value for money arm and the Incognito mods really do improve it significantly.

    2. Incognito is much better than Origin Live.

I admit I have never heard a Incognito modified arm, but Loricraft know their stuff and I trust their opinion completely.

    Regards

    Thanks Mick

Seems a very good recomendation then.
I decided against the OL mod after a few related stories and a previous experience of thier delivery schedule.

    Penance,

Go ahead and do it. There are no drawbacks (apart from cost) but you will notice improvement in the bass performance and detail retrieval qualities of the arm. I recently replaced the Incognito RB300 with an SME IV arm.

    Enjoy the music,

    Lawrie.:D
